Raising hope and awareness with Cassie + Friends in Edmonton
Westland Insurance was a proud sponsor of the Cassie + Friends event in Edmonton on September 13, 2025, on-site for the third year in a row! Westland has been a proud sponsor of Cassie + Friends in Canada since 2009 and a national partner since 2022.
Together with 121 runners, our Edmonton team fundraised over $1,000, helping to raise more than $27,900 total and surpassing the original goal of $25,000! These funds go directly toward vital programs such as Injection Support Kits, the Equipment Cupboard, Youth Mentorship, and Educational Events. They will also fuel important research and raise awareness for kids and families affected by juvenile arthritis and other rheumatic diseases.
Each year’s event brings together a community of patients, caregivers, medical professionals, and supporters. It also creates a space for connection where families facing similar challenges can meet, share stories, and feel less alone.
Seeing the Edmonton community come together – with families, kids, corporate partners, and researchers all walking and running side-by-side – is a true highlight of the year. Thank you for turning your energy into action and your miles into hope.
